Project: Ghost launch film
Brief:
To produce a global brand film which showcases the dynamic capabilities of the latest addition to the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars model range: Ghost. The film should execute the campaign concept for Ghost: ‘The Power of Simplicity’.
Insight:
Ghost is a driver’s car and a highly contemporary interpretation of the classic Rolls-Royce, so the pace and tone of the film should reflect this.
Solution:
We developed a treatment which juxtaposed dynamic driving sequences with very sensory sequences exploring intricate details of Ghost, as the car journeys through a variety of scenes. The cinematography features sun-flares and backlit “white” light to emphasise this fresh, new approach for Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The film was shot on the RED HD camera over a challenging two day location shoot in Southern Spain, and edited to a specially composed music track commissioned by Brainstorm.
Result:
The film has been viewed by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world, having been screened at motor shows, distributed to Rolls-Royce Motor Cars showrooms, released to prospects and posted to numerous social media sites. The film registered over 166,000 views on one fan site alone; marking a turning point in mass popularity for the luxury marque.
