Project: UK brand website



Brief:

After running two successful campaign microsites, we were asked by Old El Paso to create a permanent online presence for their UK brand. The site needed to be inspirational and educational, providing consumers with a reason to visit and return.



Insight:

Mexican food is all about sharing – and with the brand’s strapline of ‘Share the Fun’ it was essential to reflect this sociability in the site.



Solution:

We wanted to make oldelpaso.co.uk the destination site for those searching for Mexican food. We commissioned over 50 new recipes using Old El Paso products, to kick off a large and continuously expanding recipe library. All recipes were designed for friends and family and could be shared or sent as a shopping list to your mobile. Other content includes a meal planners, party ideas and competitions.



Result:

The site recorded 180,000 visits in its first 9 month, against an industry average of 40,000 for recipes sites of a similar size. Users spent nearly 3 minutes on the web site – up 50% on the average.
